Ken passed away June 10, 2020 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 87.

He was born to Miles and Bessie Rowden on April 19, 1933 in Atlanta, Georgia. His family moved from Atlanta in 1945 to Jacksonville. He attended Andrew Jackson High School and graduated in 1951.

Ken served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Shriners Masonic Lodge.

He worked as a bankruptcy trustee for Ryder P.I.E. International retiring in 1996.

Ken became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on October 23, 1980 when he joined Mandarin, Florida Lodge #42. Ken received his fellowship degree on May 27, 1986. He joined the 25 Club on August 8, 1985 and sponsored 78 members. He was a Lifetime member of Moose Legion #81.

Ken came to Moosehaven on November 12, 2012 where he resided for 7 years.

He was laid to rest in Jacksonville National Cemetery. There will be a memorial service at a later date.

Ken was predeceased by his parents, sister Colleen Whitaker and brother Douglas Rowden.

He is survived by his nieces who loved him and enjoyed his company and home at Moosehaven: Janine Whitaker of Kirkland, WA; Tami Bresolin, Redmond, WA; Stacey Poppinga, Douglas, WY. We will miss him very much and his beautiful, deep southern gentleman voice.
