Susan Lee Hunter

Susan Lee Hunter, 53, passed away December 21, 2010. She was born on August 31, 1957 to parents James and Sandra Krifka Raniszewski in Pensacola, FL. Susan loved fishing in the St. John’s River and assisted with the River Clean Up project. As a journalist, she was “Gabby Gator” in the Creeklines Newspaper and wrote a monthly article about fishing and history on the river. She loved boating and ran the “spec” fishing tournament at Pacetti’s Fish Camp. Susan was a giver and loved everyone she met. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her son, Christopher Jorgensen of Monroe, NC; parents, James R. and Sandra Krifka Raniszewski; sister, Betty Jo (Chris) Colella; niece, Ashley Noel Colella; nephews, Brian and Nicholas Colella and James Peacock, all of Middleburg. A service to celebrate Susan’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Wards Creek Community Church, 7730 County Road 13 N., St. Augustine, FL 32092 with Reverend Tom Croft officiating.
