Tommy Clifford Hall, 67, passed away December 28, 2010 after a short illness. Born August 5, 1943 to parents John and Vivian Hall in Colquitt County, GA, Mr. Hall was a Veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the VFW. He had retired after over 20 years from Wood Treaters in Jacksonville where he had made many close friends. Since the age of 20, Tommy loved to sing Gospel music and sang with the Liberty Boys for many years. He had been the music director at Orange Avenue Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs for several years and just sang at the homecoming service of New Hope Baptist Church in Palatka prior to his hospitalization. Tommy loved fishing, the Miami Dolphins and playing all types of sports. He had even played semi-pro baseball for several years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Joyce; sons, Thad Russell (Emmy) Hall, Tommy Eric Hall and Zachary Marshall Hall; brother, Lamar Mitchell (Rose Ann) Hall. Funeral services will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 with Reverend Glen Tillis officiating. The family will receive friends beginning an hour prior to the service.
