Herbert Carl Holm

Herbert Carl Holm, 76, of Orange Park, FL died on Friday, March 23, 2007. He was born in New York City on March 13, 1931, where he maintained residence until moving to Plainview, LI and Herndon, VA. Mr. Holm was a 1952 Civil Engineering graduate of New York University and served in a supervisory role for construction projects in New York, Saudi Arabia and the Washington DC area before retiring to Florida. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah and wife of 52 years, Claire. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in Orange Park, FL where he served as a teller, greeter, usher and communion assistant. Mr. Holm also served as Guardian Ad Litem for the Clay County Court System. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Cordes Holm of Orange Park, FL; sons, Chris (Cheryl) Holm of Cross Junction, VA and Douglas (Tara) Holm of Manassas, VA; 6 grandchildren, Christopher and Kelsey Holm, Alexis and Kaitlyn Holm and Robert and Daniel Nitch of New York. A Memorial Service will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 2156 Loch Rane Blvd., Orange Park, FL on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Bob Hale officiating.
