Jeanette Wing

Jeanette Wing, 85, of Green Cove Springs, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2007. Born on May 23, 1921 to parents Robert and Eldora Mooneyham in Chattanooga, TN, she was of the Baptist faith. Jeanette lived in Green Cove Springs since 1955, but spent a few years in Alabama taking care of her father. She was a great cook and loved sewing and she also handmade furniture. She was a devoted mother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Wing was preceded in death by three children, Bobby Moore, Mary Sharp, and Kenneth Moore. She is survived by eight children: Betty Armstrong of Middleburg, Gloria Stokes of Blackshear, GA, Jerry Moore (Nancy) of Green Cove Springs, Lajanice Bell (Larry) of Jacksonville, Larry Moore (Sherry) of St. Augustine, Elaine Johnson of Green Cove Springs, Wanda Dawson (David) of Green Cove Springs, and Rick Moore of Green Cove Springs; two daughters-in-law, Teresa and Louise Moore; one son-in-law, Bobby Sharp; her “daughter-in-law” Jean Couey; thirty seven grandchildren, fifty seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends in the chapel of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 11:00 am at Russell Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Reverend Ron Baker and Reverend Ronnie Surrency.
