Carl H. Patria, 90, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011. He was born in Troy, NH on September 17, 1920 to Fred and Lilly Patria. He was one of sixteen children. Of the Baptist faith, Mr. Patria honorably served in The United States Navy during World War II. Later, he worked in carpentry and as a farmer; he was affectionately known as Green Cove’s “Milk Man.” He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Ida Mae Patria; and many of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Sally Patria; daughter, Sharon Chaney (Rusty); step-children: Jodi Witt (Steve), James “Butch” Langley (Barbara), Mary Post (Joe), and Bobby Langley (Karen); sisters: Carmen Patnode, Ruby Patria, and Ellen McDermot; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 am on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Decoy Baptist Church. Funeral services will commence at 11:00 am with Reverend Bobby Baker officiating. Burial with Navy honors will follow in Decoy Baptist Church Cemetery.
