Charles Maurice Reid, Sr.

Charles Maurice Reid, Sr., 68, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Monday, February 7, 2011. He was born on January 31, 1943 to parents Harry and Ruby Reid in Lockhart, AL. Mr. Reid moved to the local area in 1975 from Alabama. Charles was an avid fisherman, mostly bass fishing. He loved sports and was a big fan of the Gators and Patriots football teams. His greatest love was for his family and children but especially his grandchildren. Charles will be dearly missed by those who knew him. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and is survived by his children, Charles M. Reid, Jr. and his wife Janmarie, Christopher E. Reid and Caren A. Reid; grandchildren, Cameron, Brendan and Erin. A Funeral service will be held in his honor at 6:00 pm Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating.
