Lucille Davie Wilkinson

November 7, 1916 — February 28, 2011

Lucille Davie Wilkinson, 94, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2011. Born November 7, 1916, in Pawtucket, RI, to Orian and Lea Duchesneau, Lucille had a Master of Library and Informational Science degree from the University of Florida and was a High School Librarian. She proudly served as a Red Cross Volunteer Nurse in Newfoundland during WWII, aiding those U.S. soldiers injured in combat in the European Theatre. After the war, she was a secretary with the FBI in California, then a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her son, David Rowe Davie and her husbands, William H Davie and Robert C. Wilkinson, Jr., and her 3 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her son, James H. Davie, II and his wife Christine, grandchildren, William H. Davie, II and wife Nora, Nathan D. Davie and wife Christina, and Christal M. Davie, and great granddaughters Ella Gloria and Elliotte Grace and great granddaughter-to-be Ava Jean. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Middleburg with Dr. C. Alan Floyd officiating.
