Sherry Diane Coon

Sherry Diane Coon, 64, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011. She was born on February 19, 1947 in Chester, SC. Mrs. Coon had worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Health Department and was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of the local Garden Club and enjoyed quilting. Mrs. Coon was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Cleveland Grant, Jr. and her brother, Marcus Cleveland Grant. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Bentley; husband, Jerry Coon; children, Marcus Stephen Coon (Carrie) and Casey Marie Coon; sisters, Frances LuJean Barkley and Susan Dingmon; grandson, Kaden Thomas Coon; step-brothers, Walter W. Bentley, Jr. and Frank Bentley; step-sister, Linda Rogers and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Madaris officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
