Wanda Elizabeth Danforth

Wanda Elizabeth Danforth, 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on November 24, 1927 in New Smyrna Beach, FL to parents Mr. & Mrs. Joseph T. Ridge. Mrs. Danforth has been a Jacksonville resident for the past 58 years. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Congregational Holiness Church in Green Cove Springs, FL. Wanda loved to play the piano and harmonica in her free time. Mrs. Danforth will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by both her parents and her loving husband, Hiram J. Danforth. She is survived by sons, Larry Danforth (Pamela) and Jerry Danforth (Cathy); daughter, Judy M. Danforth; 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2011 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, March 25, 2011 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Rev. Joe Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the Penney Farms Cemetery.
