Julia Anne Herbert

Julia Anne Herbert, 49, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away suddenly on Friday, April 8, 2011. She was born on July 26, 1961 in Baltimore, MD to parents Harless and Sharon James. She has been a resident of Clay County for the past 12 years. Julia was a wonderful Christian who loved the Lord and attended Congregational Holiness Church. She enjoyed being outdoors in the sun and in her flower garden. Julia will always be remembered as a good hearted, loving person who was always thinking of others. She was always giving to her community, especially to the Quigley House. Julia was a loving caring mother who had a heart of gold. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Jones and her son, Matthew Herbert. Julia is survived her father, Harless James; mother, Sharon Holmes (Bob); grandmother, Eileen Jones; sons, B.J. and Jeremy Spates; daughters, Jesse James, Jacquelyn, Gabrielle and Abigail Herbert; brother, Jesse James and sister, Jenette James. The family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines chapel on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in her honor at 11:00 am on Friday, April 15, 2011 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Reverend Ronnie Surrency officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Vy Star account# 702869387 for the children.
