Ermel Imogene Coon

Ermel Imogene Coon, 72, passed away on April 17, 2011 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born on February 18, 1939 in Haysi, VA to Stanford "Zeke" and Carrie Boyd Branham. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Green Cove Springs, a member of the Elks Club and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. She had retired from Georgia Pacific after over forty years of service and enjoyed traveling and painting. She was predeceased by her father Stanford “Zeke” Branham and is survived by her mother, Carrie D. Branham of Palatka, FL; son Calvin Thomas (Karen) Coon II of Green Cove Springs, FL; daughter, Martha Kathalene Coon of Green Cove Springs, FL; granddaughter, Christina (Matthew) Jacobs of Moultrie, GA; grandson, Zack Thomas Coon II of Green Cove Springs, FL; brothers, James Willard Branham of Green Cove Springs, FL; Harold C. (Betty) Branham of Chiply, FL; sisters, LaVern (JC) Campbell of Ashford, AL, Loretha (Dane) Anderson of Elizabethton, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Coon will be buried in the Branham Family Cemetery in Haysi, VA on Thursday.
