Lois Mae Moody

Lois Mae Moody, 81, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011. She was born on May 23, 1929 in Jacksonville, FL to parents George and Pearl Long. She has been a life long resident of Clay County since 1952. Mrs. Moody was a member of Green Cove Springs Church of God and truly loved her church family. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Clara Cribbs. Lois is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Forrest L. “Toots” Moody; son, Donald Moody (Patti); daughters, Susan Jeffers and Marilyn Moody; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren and her beloved dogs Corky & Charlie. The family will receive friends in the Broadus-Raines Chapel from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 28, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, April 29, 2011 at Green Cove Springs Church of God with Pastor Larry Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Flowers are welcome but the family does ask that memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
