Barbara L. Kasel

Barbara L. Kasel, 85, passed away May 20, 2011 at her Middleburg residence with her beloved husband by her side. Barbara was born on April 29, 1926 in Manchester, CT to Leslie A. and Gertrude “Mollie” Stevenson. She loved snow-skiing, tennis and was a Master Knitter. Barbara was a homemaker and had resided in Middleburg since 1986. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Leslie C. Stevenson; and sisters, Doris Stevenson, Arlene Ostrout and Eleanor McShea. Survivors include her devoted husband of 64 years, Leo R. Kasel; sons, Steven (Stacey) Kasel of Tigard, OR, Robert (Erica) Kasel of Goldens Bridge, NY and Tracey (Karen) Kasel of Park City, UT; grandchildren, Nicholas, Noah, Alexandra, Laurel and Jake Kasel; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held in Manchester, CT at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of N.E. FL, 4266 Sunbeam Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32257.
