Charles N. “Charlie” Brice, 86, passed away May 20, 2011 at Moosehaven in Orange Park. He was born to Roscoe and Annie Brice on August 21, 1924 in Watha, NC. Charlie served in the United States Navy and was a WW II Veteran.
He married Mary Frances Hall who preceded him in death on December 11, 1992. They had four daughters, Linda, Charlene, Cindy, Bonnie and one son, Rocky. Charlie worked as a Regional Manager/Director for the Loyal Order of Moose retiring in 1990. Charlie became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose on June 16, 1946 when he joined the Raleigh, NC Lodge #1318. He received his Fellowship Degree of Honor on October 25, 1952, Pilgrim Degree of Merit on August 17, 1958. He served as Governor, Past Governor, Membership Director, State Director and Regional Director. He was a Life Member of the Order and sponsored 100 members in his lifetime. Charlie was a Past Supreme Governor of the Loyal Order of Moose. He was a member of Enoca Moose Legion 69 and transferred to Tar Heel Moose Legion 158 in 1951. He came to Moosehaven on December 8, 2010 where he resided for 5 months. He is survived by daughters, Linda Ponce and Charlene Brice of Richmond, VA, Cindy Webb of Easley, SC, Bonnie Campion of Kitty Hawk, NC and son Roscoe Brice of Richmond, VA.
