Inez J. Johnson

Inez J. Johnson, 72, of Callahan, FL, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007. She was born on September 20, 1934 in Callahan, FL to parents Robert and Pearlie Johns. Mrs. Johnson was a teacher’s aide for 20 years at Callahan Intermediate School as well as working as a telemarketer for Sears,Roebuck and Company as a cashier for Dollar General and other minute markets. She was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church in Callahan and loved to vacation in the mountains. She dearly loved her grandchildren and will be missed by her cherished family and friends. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, John K. Johnson, II. Survivors include her son, John “J.J.” Johnson, III (Tammy) of Callahan, FL; daughter, Julia E. Johnson (Ernie) of Jacksonville, FL; step-daughters, Elizabeth Ann Geiger (Ray) of Callahan, FL and Jonnie Kay Barr (Jim) of Florida; brother, Jimmy Johns (Helen) of Winokur, GA; sister-in-law, Kathleen Johns of Callahan, FL; aunt, Mrs. Tommy Mixon of Fernandina Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Joanna Welch and Jackie and Bill Kilgore. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Live Oak Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Mille officiating. Visitation will be graveside one hour prior to the service.
