Theodore Roosevelt Shepherd

Theodore “Ted” Shepherd, 79, of Interlachen, FL passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007. He was born to parents Harry and Josephine Shepherd on September 9, 1927 in Clay County, FL and had been a lifelong resident of the area prior to moving to Interlachen in 2000. Mr. Shepherd honorably served his country during The Korean War in The United States Marine Corps and he was awarded the Purple Heart, the U.N. Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal with three stars, and the National Defense Service Medal. Following his military service he began a career as a carpenter in the construction industry and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. Shepherd was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ronald Lee Shepherd, and his five sisters, Ernestine, Thelma, Connie, Agnes, and Lorraine. He is survived by two sons, Bobby D. Rivers and Bryan Keith Shepherd; one daughter, Terri Darlene Dobbs; two brothers, Harry Shepherd (Jewel) and Bill Shepherd (Vivian); as well as many beloved grandchildren.
