Ray William Courtney

Ray William “Bill” Courtney, 82, of Jacksonville, FL passed away Thursday, May 31, 2007. He was born on November 25, 1924 in Lima, OH to parents, William and Gracy Courtney. He was a retired Minister and was a World War II Veteran, serving his country in the United States Army. He moved to the Jacksonville area from Michigan in 2000 and was a member of Atlantic Boulevard Baptist Church. Mr. Courtney will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include his sons, Rick, David and Daniel Courtney; daughters, Mary Anne Rankin, Marsha Spalding, Marie Milkovich, Margaret Just and Marissa Courtney; sister, Margie Douglas; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 5, 2007 in the Chapel of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Rigdon officiating. Visitation will be in the Chapel from 6:00 pm until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s name to Atlantic Boulevard Baptist Church, 10258 Atlantic Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32225.
