David L. McClain, Jr.

David L. McClain, Jr., 37, of Florahome, FL, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007. He was born on November 6, 1969 in Jacksonville, FL to parents, David and Linda McClain, Sr. and he was of the Baptist faith. David was a pipe fitter and he trained people to drive trucks. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a Volunteer Fireman at the Interlachen Fire Department, the McRae Fire Department, Georges Lake Fire Department as well as in Virginia and North Carolina where he also performed EMT work. David loved to fish and will be deeply missed by his family and friends that he cherished. David was preceded in death by his mother, Linda and is survived by his father, David L. McClain, Sr.; children, Kimberly Joyce McClain, Jessica McClain, Jonathan Bryan McClain and Mikaylah McClain; brother, Bryan James McClain (Michelle Lynn); grandmother, Mildred Warrington; and nieces and nephews, Linda, Christopher and Brett McClain. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, June 22, 2007 at Gadara Baptist Church, McRae, FL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Gadara Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Nettles officiating. Interment will follow at Gadara Cemetery.
