Antonio "Tony" Guarino

Antonio “Tony” Guarino, 88, of Middleburg, FL died peacefully Wednesday morning with family by his side. He was a WWII Vet in the Army Air Corps and he retired from NARF at NAS JAX in 1985, after which he and his wife Jaye RV’d with the Sunwheelers of Jacksonville and followed the Gators as season ticket holders for many years. Tony was currently a member of The Italian American Club of Jacksonville and was always easy to laugh and joke. He enjoyed his family, friends, dancing, food and was especially proud of his brick laying occupation. Tony would like for everyone to remember him “The way he was”! He is survived by his wife, Josephine “Jaye” Guarino; son, Anthony J. Guarino; daughters, Donalee Wright and Gale Gravois; grandson, Lon Tibbatts; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. At Tony’s request, there will be no viewing or services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Community Hospice of NE Florida, Attn:Foundation, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
