Sandy Matthews

Sandy Matthews, 38, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011. She was born on April 6, 1973 in Jacksonville, FL to parents, Ted and Jean Biggs. She worked as a teacher at Ollie’s Day Care in Orange Park and was a member of Lake Asbury Baptist Church. She loved working with the children’s choir at the church and enjoyed spending time at Disney World. Sandy’s family was her true love and passion and she will be dearly missed by them and her loving friends. She is survived by her parents, Ted and Jean Biggs; husband, Tim Matthews; daughter, Savannah Marie Matthews; brother, Randy Biggs; nieces, Madison and Mallory; mother-in-law, Ollie Sullivan; father-in-law, Ralph Matthews and sister-in-law, Lisa Sweat (Kenny). The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Pinewood Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Pinewood Presbyterian Church with Rev. Troy Grant officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Following the interment, everyone is invited to a reception at Lake Asbury Baptist Church, 2674 Henley Rd., Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
