Pastor Edward L. Steves

Pastor Edward L. Steves, 72, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2011. He was born on March 2, 1939 in Buffalo, NY to parents, Edward and Dorothy Steves. He was the Pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs and had lived in Clay County for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Local #86 Electrical Union for over 30 years and was the organizer of the Second Harvest Food Pantry thru Faith Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Steves; sons, Roger Steves (Teresa), Ron Steves (Virginia), Edward and David Steves; daughters, Leah Steves-Whitney (Joe) and Anna Steves; brother, Ronald Steves; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Faith Baptist Church with Deacon John Householder and Mac Sparks officiating. Visitation will be in the church one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Second Harvest Food Pantry, c/o Faith Baptist Church, P.O.
