Brenda Harris

Brenda “BG” Harris, 60, of Orange Park, FL passed away Friday, June 22, 2007. Born to parents Theodore and Dorothy (Arnold) Harris on January 5, 1947 in Jackson, GA, she was of the Baptist faith and had been a lifelong resident of the Clay County area. Her favorite color was purple and she was affectionately referred to as “The Purple Lady.” Ms. Harris loved music and reading, and one of her aspirations had always been to write a book. She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore, when she was three years old and later by her mother, Dorothy; step-father, William “Bill” Ramsey; and sister, Debbie Cox. She is survived by two beloved daughters: Cherie Jo Hardin (Randy “Larry”) and Bridget Dugger (Ronnie), all of Middleburg; two brothers: Theodore “Buddy” Harris (Jean) of GA, and William “Jeff” Ramsey of Jackson, TN; and three grandchildren: Corey, Brianna, and Connor. Memorial services will be held in the chapel of Broadus-Raines Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 3:00 pm officiated by Reverend Charlie Hunt.
