Myrtle Leota Hipps

Myrtle Leota Hipps, 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 in Orange Park, FL. She was born on July 31, 1916 in Ebenezer, TN to parents Zeb and Ada McConkey Alridge. Mrs. Hipps had been a resident of Green Cove Springs, FL since 1957. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Hipps. Mrs. Hipps is survived by her sons James, Gary and Wayne Stanton; daughters, Carolyn Thomas, Ann Osterhoudt and Linda Sweat; sisters, Bunnie Burger, Sue Wasdin and Evelyn Rodgers; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Hipps will be held at Russell Baptist Church on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 11:00 am with Reverend Ron Baker officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
