Catherine Bickel

Catherine passed away August 24, 2011 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 92. She was born to Merle and Mary Anna Ebeling on July 31, 1919 in Winchester, Indiana. Catherine married Eldon Bickel on May 17, 1943 in Ohio. They had five sons, Anthony, Edward, William, Daniel and Ronald. Eldon owned a construction company and Catherine helped with the business. She found being a homemaker and mother to her five sons was most rewarding. Catherine became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose when her husband Eldon joined Killeen/Harker Hts., Texas Lodge #2179. Catherine and Eldon came to Moosehaven on November 17, 1997. Eldon preceded her in death on February 14, 1998. Father Brodie will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. The Opportunity Chapter will also hold part of the service. Mrs. Bickel will be buried next to her husband in the Moosehaven Cemetery. She is survived by sons, Anthony, Edward, William, Daniel and Ronald Bickel and their families.
