Catherine O'Leary Holloway

Catherine O’Leary Holloway, 85, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011. She was born on April 26, 1926 in Jacksonville, FL to parents, Dr. Luther W. and Jean O’Leary Holloway. Miss. Holloway graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Florida State College for women. She had worked in sales for the American Office Supply Company and was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Catherine was a member of the debutante coterie of 1946, a sustaining member of the Junior League of Jacksonville, the Junior Woman’s Club and Ladies Friday Musicale. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, William R. Holloway and Jean Bein. Survivors include her siblings, Luther W. (Sophia) Holloway, Jr. of Mandeville, LA, John P. (Mary Eleanor) Holloway of Houston, TX, Lawrence (Lynn) Holloway of Orange Park, FL, Samuel N. (Connie) Holloway of Gainesville, FL, Michael C. (Kathy) Holloway of Rockledge, FL, Mary Pearce Freel of Jacksonville, FL, Penelope (William) Fitzgerald of Havertown, PA and Elizabeth “Betty” Sanderson of Sacramento, California. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Friday, September 9, 2011 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Father Pawel Duda as Celebrant.
