Fayetta "Faye" Pearl Smith

Fayetta “Faye” Pearl Smith passed away September 11, 2011in Orange Park, FL in the Moosehaven Life Care Center at the age of 87. She was born to Edward and Valetta Dohahoe on June 22, 1924 in Saxton, Pennsylvania. Faye married Paul Smith on April 8, 1950. She was employed by Orlando Regional Medical Center as a receptionist until her retirement in June of 1989. Faye enjoyed reading and doing crafts. Faye became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose in 1976 when she joined Kissimmee, FL Chapter #1849. Faye came to Moosehaven on November 27, 2001 where she has resided for 9 years. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 12, 1978 and son Robert on March 21, 2011.She is survived by her two daughters, Penny Smith (James) of Jacksonville, Florida, Kay Tibbits (Ray) of Newman, Georgia, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral Services were held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 2:00 pm with Chaplain Jess McCrosky officiating and Officers of Opportunity Chapter. Inurnment in the Moosehaven Mausoleum will follow.
