June D. Sweat

June D. Sweat, 71, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away September 23, 2011. She was born in Grundy, VA on September 3, 1940 to Garland and Onnie Dales. She moved with her parents to Green Cove Springs nearly 60 years ago and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, William Estes Sweat, Sr. in 2008 and is survived by her son, William E. Sweat Jr. (Susan); daughters, Debra Lynn Meister (Dan) and Tammy Rena LaRue (Lawrence Sr.); Sister, Thelma Sweat; brothers, Johnny Dales (Rosemary) and Howard Dales (Joann); grandchildren, Lawrence LaRue Jr., Phillip LaRue, Rebekah Meister and Joshua Meister; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Following the services the family will have a reception at Johnny and Rosemary's home on Highway 17.
