Pat Spatola, 83, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2007. He was born on April 24, 1924 in Newark, NJ to parents, Thomas and Jennie Spatola. Mr. Spatola was a contracting officer for the Federal Government and was a World War II Veteran and POW, serving his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and St. Luke’s Catholic Church. He loved to walk and loved his dear family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Edi Spatola; son, Thomas Spatola (Lillian) of Union, NJ; daughter, Patti Ann Wilson (Mark) of Middleburg, FL; sister, Rita Childers of Beleville, NJ; grandchildren, Alexandria and Elise Spatola and Matthew Wilson and great-grandson, Bradley Wilson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Monday, July 9, 2007 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with Father James R. Boddie, Jr. as Celebrant.
