Georgia I. Westfall

Georgia I. Westfall, 89, of Green Cove Springs, FL, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. She was born on January 21, 1922 in Belleview, IL to parents, Delbert and Ethel Richards. Mrs. Westfall was an LPN and was a member of the Green Cove Springs Assembly of God Church. She was very active in her community, volunteering at Orange Park Medical Center, the Clay County Prison Ministry, the American Cancer Society, Governors Creek Nursing Home as well as being a volunteer driver for Hospice patients. She was an active member of the Salvation Army of Clay County Women’s Home League and served as their Secretary, Program Chairman and Worship Chairman. Mrs. Westfall was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Westfall and is survived by her son, Merrill Westfall and wife Susan; daughters, Anita Lawrence and husband Bob and Marlene Heckman; brother, Fred Richards; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Salvation Army, 2795 County Road 220, Middleburg, FL 32068.
