Mattieree B. Samuel

Mattieree B. Samuel, 90, of Penney Farms, FL, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011. She was born on March 17, 1921 in Raleigh, NC to parents, Charles and Mattie Baugh. She had been a teacher and was a former member of Southside Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL. Mrs. Samuel was very involved with her church family and was a dedicated Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Roland David Samuel. Survivors include her son, Roland David Samuel; daughters, Debbie Hiatt and husband, Dr. Randy Hiatt and Deedra Florence DeRosier; dear sister-in-law, Marggie Samuel; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am Monday, October 31, 2011 at Penney Retirement Community Cemetery with Chaplain Jim Archibald officiating.
