Hap Easter

Hap Easter, 70, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011. He was born on September 6, 1941 in Washington D.C. to parents, David and Nettie Easter. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard. Hap was a member of The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2410 in Middleburg, the American Legion, V.F. W. and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed Karaoke, golf and Texas hold ‘em poker. Hap was preceded in death by his father and by his wife, Justine Easter. He is survived by his mother, Nettie Jackson; daughters, Cynthia Maurer (Tim) and Tammera Easter; brother, Ron Easter (Carol); sisters, Linda Vann (Gary) and Sharon Deno (Dean); companion, Pat Dixon and grandchildren, Shane, Tara, Tristen, Trevis and Heather. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Chaplain Robert Lucas, II officiating. Military honors will be conferred at the service.
