Edwin E. Padgett

Edwin E. Padgett, 81, of Middleburg, FL, passed away November 16, 2011. He was born in Clay County to Herbert and Maude Padgett. Mr. Padgett had served our county honorably in the United States Army and retired from Waste Management after 20 years of dedicated service. He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Maude Padgett; brothers, J.D and Raymond and a son, Claude. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Joyce; sons, Terry (Charlotte) Diedrich of Orlando, FL and Stoney Padgett of Middleburg, FL; daughters, Sherry Yorba of California and Barbara (Tony) Perez of Frankfurt, Germany; brother, Joe (Frankie) Padgett of Starke, FL; sisters, Lorene (Eddie) Stevens of Higginsville, MO and Frances Johnson of Middleburg, FL; 2 very special sisters-in-law, Patsy Padgett and Marilyn Latz; and a very special friend and nurse, Wendy Pesek; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Military Honors will be conferred. The family requests no flowers.
