Charlotte A. Hammack

Charlotte A. Hammack, 70, of Ashville, AL, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2007. She was born on September 5, 1936 in Georgia to parents, Charles and Thelma Butler. Mrs. Hammack was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was of the Baptist faith and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Hammack and is survived by her children, Nannie Hite (Tony), Sharon Conaway (Harry), Frank Hammack, Jr. (Mary) and Melinda Stillwell (Darell); brother, Charlie Butler; sisters, Mary Layfield and Faye Davis; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, July 30, 2007 at Black Pond Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Penney Farms Cemetery.
