Walter "Roger" McPeek

Walter “Roger” McPeek, 69, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away on Thursday, December 08, 2011. He was born on June 21, 1942 in Gallagher, WV to parents Jake and Irene (Wilson) McPeek. Roger moved to the local area in 2006 from Ohio. He loved spending time with family and hanging out with his grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and playing the slot machines. Roger and his wife owned a 1971 Monte Carlo Triple Black. They would enter it in various car shows and donate the money to charity. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. McPeek is preceded in death by both of his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jenell Johnson McPeek; sons, James Thomas McPeek (Sandy) and Walter Edward McPeek; daughters, Asalee Murphy (Jessie) and Mary Sue McPeek; brothers, Carl McPeek (Lois), Freddie McPeek (Pat) and Kenny McPeek (Jeanette); sisters, Nancy Hawkins and Judy Murphy (Ronnie); sister-in-law, Edith Wingate; grandchildren, Shannon, Mary-Jenell, Jamie, Jessie, Jody, Ralphie, Stephanie, Christopher, Randall, Walter, Emily and Megan and 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 12:00 pm, Sunday, December 11, 2011 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 pm with Ralphie Clevinger, Jr. officiating.
