Robert L. Fletcher, Sr.

Robert L. Fletcher, Sr., 75, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012. He was born on May 17, 1936 in Lewiston, ME to parents Malcolm and Verna Fletcher. Mr. Fletcher had served his country in the United States Marine Corps and had worked as a correctional officer. He was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed writing songs and singing at local retirement homes. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, Roger Prout. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Fletcher; children, Linda McDaniel and husband Gerald, Tobbie J. Fluck and husband Jeff, Margery Maney and husband Danny and Robert L. Fletcher, Jr. and wife Monica; sister, Harriet Ray and husband Dan; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, February 3, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Grace Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Preston Hayes and Leo Bowen officiating.
