Walter S. Neneman, 83, of Orange Park, FL passed away at home on Saturday, August 18, 2007 surrounded by his beloved family. He was born to parents Bogdon and Wladyslawa Nennemann on February 2, 1924 in Papowa, Poland and was of the Episcopalian faith. He served in the Free Polish Army during WWII and his service caused him to become a “displaced citizen” and he could not return to his homeland from England. While in England, he met Sheila Rutter and the two were married in 1956 in Nebraska, USA. Later, they moved to Des Moines, IA and Walter became the Club Manager for Wakonda Golf and Country Club and he worked there for twenty five years. Mr. Neneman moved to the Orange Park area fourteen years ago. He was a gentle, loving father and husband and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bogdon and Wladyslawa; and two sisters: Wanda Stark and Katie Ochynski. He is survived by his loving wife Sheila Neneman; three children: Mark Neneman (Catherine) of La Quinta, CA, Ann Monachino of Austin, TX, and Sharon Knudson (Jeff) of Orange Park, FL; and five grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held privately at a later date.
