Annie Lee Wilber, 93, of Green Cove Springs, FL went home to her Lord in heaven on Monday, August 20, 2007. She was born to parents Irvin and Minnie Cadwell in Dodge County, Georgia on May 21, 1914 and was of the Baptist faith. A lifelong resident of the community, she was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and The Clay County Historical Society. She enjoyed gardening and volunteer work. Mrs. Wilber was a founding member of Clay Memorial Hospital’s Volunteer Auxiliary and also volunteered at Governor’s Creek Nursing Home as well as many other places. She will be deeply missed by her beloved family and many friends. Her husband of fifty seven years, James Wilber, preceded her in 1988. She was also preceded by her infant daughter and her son, Donald Wilber. She is survived by two sons: James Wilber (Jesse) of Lawton, OK and Leroy Wilber of Green Cove Springs; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Wilber; one brother, Austin Cadwell; and one sister, Lucy Goodrich, all of Green Cove Springs; and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Hickory Grove Baptist Church on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 3:00 pm with Reverend Mike Madaris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NE Florida Community Hospice or to the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Building Fund.
