Merdella M. Huckleberry

Merdella M. Huckleberry, 61, of Orange Park, FL passed away March 7, 2012. She was born in Jacksonville on April 27, 1950 to Robert and Margaret Champion Reed and had lived in the area her entire life. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Huckleberry was predeceased by her brothers, Bobby and Johnny Reed and a great-grandson, Talen. She is survived by her husband, Gene Huckleberry; daughter, Margaret Yates; sister, Jeanie Wright; grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathan, Eric and Elizabeth Yates; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Emily, Khloe, Trinity, Mason, RJ and Chase. A memorial service will be held in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Mrs. Huckleberry’s ashes will be buried at the Jacksonville National Cemetery later that day at 1:30 p.m. Please sign the family’s online guestbook at www.broadusraines.com.
