Leslie John Dick, 92, of Orange Park, FL passed away peacefully on Monday, April 23, 2012. He was born on January 20, 1920 in Chinook, MT to parents Claus and Annie (Pankratz) Dick. Mr. Dick honorably served his county in the United States Army, during World War II. Leslie was a member of the Baptist Church in South Haiti, where he worked as a Missionary for the Worldteam, from 1954 to 1984. He and his wife moved to the local area in 2000 from Munich, ND. In his spare time Leslie loved reading westerns and was a big sports fan. He especially enjoyed the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and brother. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, brother and 2 sisters and is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Susan Dick; sons, Jonathan Dick (Susan), Peter Dick (Shelly) and Curtis Dick (Atlanta); daughters, JoAnn Lentini (Michael), Phyllis Vancas (Donald), Peggy Harder (Charles) and Kathleen Epp (Delwayne); sister, Gwendolyn Sharpe; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. A funeral service will be held in his honor 11:30 am, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at First Baptist Church Orange Park, 1140 Kingsley Ave., with Reverend David Tarkington officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:30 pm, with the Military Honors conferred.
