Jim "Mickey" Malone

Jim “Mickey” Malone, 65, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away April 18, 2012. He was born on December 24, 1946 in Birmingham, AL to parents James Alfred Malone and Maude “Sue” Hodges. Jim graduated from Englewood High School in 1965 and was named “Mr. Englewood”. He was the owner of Insurance World in Jacksonville for 32 years. Jim loved fishing with his grandson, Reese, being outdoors, playing tennis at Magnolia Point and golfing with his friends. He is survived by his wife of 21 Years, Bridgit Ellisor Malone, who was the love of his life; stepfather, Duke Ange; in-laws, Norman and Sylvia Ellisor; daughters, Kelly Malone and Misty (Terry) Leggett; grandson, Reese Leggett; siblings, Tina (Stan) Davis, Tim (Tammy) Boyd, Eric (Charlene) Ange and Terry (Traci) Ange; nephews, Phillip Boyd, Kyle Ange, Dylan Ange and Tyler Ange; nieces, Savannah and Ashlyn Ange; many friends and extended family members. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at San Jose Baptist Church, 6140 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32217. Pastor Mike Reed will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Haven Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
