Mary Gail Mullis

Mary Gail Mullis, 64, of Middleburg, FL passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. She was born on September 5, 1947 in Greenville, SC to mother, Julia Harbin Cartee. Mrs. Mullis moved to the local area 47 years ago from Greenville. She was of the Southern Baptist faith. Her family best describes her as being kind-hearted, very loving, having a great sense of humor and easy to talk to. Mary loved to garden, eat chocolate covered cherries and watch her favorite soap opera, “Days of Our Lives”. Mrs. Mullis loved to cook and take care of her family and was considered a truly nurturing mother. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her mother and her loving husband, Bobby Maurice Mullis, Sr. (2003). Mary is survived by her sons, Bobby Maurice Mullis, Jr. and Dennis Robert Mullis (Christine); daughter, Lisa Mullis; sisters, Betty Peeples and Linda Land (Danny); grandchildren, Crystal, Danielle, Lina, Reese, Haley and Grace; great grandchildren, David, Cayden and Ayva Marie Gail. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm in the Broadus-Raines Chapel on Thursday, May 17, 2012. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, May 18, 2012 at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205 with Pastor C.E. Jarrell officiating.
