Tex Ned Williams
Tex passed away Sunday morning, September 23, 2007 in the Moosehaven Life Care Center.
He was born to his parents, Tex and Mildred (Hogg) Williams on a cold, 4th of November 1928 in Pratt Kansas.
Tex joined the Navy at the young age of 17. He remained in the Navy for 31 plus years before retirement in 1978. He continued his career with Civil Service until his retirement on January 1, 1991.
He married Lila Lee Rauch on August 2, 1975 in the Chapel of Happiness in San Diego, CA. They were blessed with 32 years together.
Tex became affiliated with the Loyal Order of Moose when he joined San Diego, CA Lodge #508 on July 17, 1970. He immediately became active in the Lodge and served in all capacities he earned his Fellowship Degree in 1982 and his Pilgrim Degree in 1993.
He and his wife, Lila came to Moosehaven on May 3, 2003 where he resided for 4 years.
Tex is survived by his wife, Lila, also a Moosehaven Resident and one brother, Irven Williams and his wife Patty of Spokane, Washington.
Memorial Service, with full Military Honors will be held on Friday, September 28, 2007 at 9:30 am in the Moosehaven Chapel, and will be conducted by Rev. Helen Taylor and Officers of Opportunity Lodge. Cremated remains will be sent to the Navy for ashes spread at Sea.
