Robert "Bob" Shute

Robert “Bob” Shute, 80, of Middleburg, FL, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012. He was born on December 25, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA to parents Sherman and Claire Shute. Mr. Shute was an insurance agent and was of the Methodist faith. As an avid Florida Gator fan, he was a member of the Gator Alumni and was a season ticket holder. Bob also enjoyed training Labrador retrievers for field trials. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Sandi Shute; children, Robert Shute, Jr. (Dawn), David Shute (Jennifer), Debbie Jones (Jack), Kim Cottrill and Ryan Shute (Helene); nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 25, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Community Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257.
