Darlene Louise Thacker

Darlene Louise Thacker, 70, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away May 30, 2012. She was born in Washington, DC on January 19, 1942 to John and Thelma (Lamb) Cowan. She was a Christian and a life member of VFW Post #1988 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4505, both in Green Cove Springs, FL. She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Thacker Swilley (husband Gary); sons, Richard Thacker (wife Sandy) and Michael Thacker (wife Laura); grandchildren, Lisa Buford, Justin Thacker, Robert Thacker and Brian Thacker; great grandchildren, Mason, Justyce, Ayden, Allie and Aubrey; sister, Carol Ann Hutchins; brothers, William Osborne (wife Karen), John Osborne, William Copeland (wife Ilene), Charles Cowan (wife Dawn) and Robert Cowan (wife Tina). The family will receive friends at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Little Ruth Cemetery.
