Loretta Newcomer Bledsoe

Loretta Newcomer Bledsoe, 65, of Orange Park, FL, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012. She was born on September 3, 1946 in Jacksonville, FL to parents Robert and Eloise Cooner Newcomer. She was a homemaker and was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Bledsoe was a 1965 graduate of Paxon High School and was very active in keeping up with and maintaining friendships with her classmates. She enjoyed playing cards and cooking. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Mrs. Bledsoe was preceded in death by her father and by her husband, Lee Bledsoe. She is survived by her mother, Eloise Newcomer; son, Dane Higgins and wife Michele Lutgens-Higgins; daughter, Mary Beth Johnson; step-sons, Michael and Jeff Bledsoe; brother, Robbie Newcomer and wife Sheila and grandchildren, Gavin and Seth Higgins, Mikayla Johnson and Devon Bledsoe. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, June 29, 2012 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 1372 Lane Ave. S., Jacksonville, FL 32205 with Dr. John W. Montgomery and Rev.
