William "Charlie" Padgett

William “Charlie” Padgett, 66, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012. He was born on June 29, 1946 in Clay County, FL to parents Will and Helen Padgett. Charlie was a Florida Junior College graduate and had retired from the Army National Guard. He currently worked as a salesman for Townley Manufacturing. He was an avid Gator fan and loved NASCAR, hunting, fishing and his motorcycle. He will be missed by his family and friends whom he loved dearly. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Annette Padgett; son, Mike Padgett (Monica); brothers, Ralph Padgett (Dorie), James Padgett (Sharon) and Tommy Padgett (Earline); sister, Sharon Coughenour (Charles); grandson, Michael Shane Padgett and his mother, Missy; in-laws, Harold and Helen Jarvies and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Black Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Register and Rev. Charlie Hunt officiating.
