Thomas Joseph “Joe” Nolan, 70, of Orange Park, FL passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born on May 25, 1942 in Janesville, WI to parents Thomas and Mary (Shanley) Nolan. Mr. Nolan honorably served his country during the Vietnam and Desert Storm Wars in the United States Air Force, retiring after 32 years of loyal service. Mr. Nolan moved to the local area in 1985 from Milwaukee, WI. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church. In his spare time he loved to golf and listen to music but his true passion was his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Thomas is preceded in death by his brother, Steve Nolan and is survived by his children, Kimberly Larson (Mark), Joseph Michael Nolan (Elsa), Christopher J. Nolan (Amber) and Mary DeMello (Charles); brother, Jim Nolan (Patti); sister, Nancy Brown (Dick) and 5 grandchildren with another one on the way. A memorial service will be held in his honor 2:00 pm, Friday, July 20, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with family friend, Pastor Alvin L. Greene officiating.
