William W. Locher

William W. Locher, 89, of Orange Park, FL passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2012. He was born on February 22, 1923 in Honolulu, HI to parents Joseph and Gertrude (Walton) Locher. Mr. Locher honorably served his country as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy, retiring after 30 years of service. William moved to the local area in 1971. He loved to entertain and cook for his family and friends and was best known for his homemade New York Cheesecake. Mr. Locher always looked forward to the summers when his grandchildren would come to visit him. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Glenna Locher; sons, William Locher of Tampa, FL and Thomas Locher of Lake City, FL; brother, James Locher of Alamo, TN; grandchildren, Laura Kuhn and Billy Locher both of Tampa, FL and great grandchild, Tyler Liam of Tampa, FL.
