Barbara Suzanne Drew-Johnson, 82, of Fleming Island, FL, entered into the Gates of Heaven on July 30, 2012. She was born on February 12, 1930 in Atlanta, GA to parents George Washington and Nancy Howell Pearl Drew. Barbara was one of 9 children and was privileged to be brought up in a Christian home. Her father was an ordained Baptist Minister/Teacher at Tabernacle Downtown Atlanta. They were a musical family her mother played the piano and her daddy sang bass, played the clarinet and the saxophone. Most of the time singing Christian music but sometimes they would sing a little Ragtime and Jazz. Barbara had many Christian influences surrounding her as a youth one of them was the famous Dr. Martin who wrote many Christian songs who they would have for dinner in their home. Barbara was predeceased by her parents and 6 of her siblings. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her dearly. Survivors include her loving husband and soul mate, Finley Chandler Johnson; children, Donna Susan Turner-Crabtree, Carl Drew Turner, David Roy Turner and Paul Morgan Turner; sister, Martha Ann Drew-Dollar; brother, William Stanley Drew; granddaughter, Lindsay Suzanne Turner; step children, Linda Susan Johnson-Smith (Husband), Robert Charles Johnson (Pat) and Debra Ann Johnson-Martin (Mike); step grandchildren, Noah Chitty, Robert Bret and Kelly Torres; great-grandchildren, Skylar Turner and Hayden Drew Turner. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday August 11, 2012 at Hibernia Baptist Church with Reverend Scott Yirka officiating.
